I have been working with and sharing kava since I was first introduced in 2010 on the Big Island of Hawaii. I honor the ancient tradition of kava ceremony in the way I was shown by local Hawaiians. The euphoric yet grounding effect of kava sets the tone for intentional gatherings, creating a platform for deep heart connection. I have shared kava throughout the United States and in numerous other countries through ceremony. As the founder of Ohana Kava it is my goal that through providing access to a safe and holistic approach to improving mood, that we see less addiction of pharmaceutical drugs and ultimately happier and healthier humans. In addition to my work with the root medicine, kava, I also apply yoga, mediation, and breathwork to the experiences I bring as a means to live from a more conscious and connected place. I received my 200hr Yoga and meditation training at Yoga Alliance certified Luminous Heart Institute in Costa Rica in 2019. As well as a certification in Buti, a more modern approach of combining yoga, tribal dance, and plyometrics. I also completed my Entheobreath certification in February. Entheobreath is a healing technique that uses conscious connected breathing to heal trauma in the subconscious so that we can move forward with more clarity, compassion, and connection. I combine these offerings in workshop and retreat settings in the US and abroad. I look forward to holding space for you on your healing journey.

I am a 500hr Ayurveda, Trauma informed, classical lineage, and social justice yoga instructor. My journey with yoga began a year before I decided to get my certification. I picked up a book about meditation and mindfulness, and it completely changed my perspective on life and sent me down a beautiful new path. On this path, I found yoga, a meditation in movement. For the first time, I felt my breath and my body move as one. I felt the connection between my mind and body, and I felt whole. That’s when I fell in love. Fast forward years later, I decided to travel the world teaching yoga and sharing it with others. I traveled throughout Europe and Asia, learning as much as I taught-always a student . I teach a traditional route, bringing yoga’s true roots forth in the western part of the world. I am honored and humbled to teach and share this ancient practice as a western woman and wish to keep that essence in my practice. My purpose and passion has unfolded to bring women together to learn, share, grow, and connect in sacred spaces.
